A Busy Week

Wow!! What a busy week. Three classes have used the classroom this week for the 'Act on Climate Change' programme and every pupil that has visited has made their promise on how they are going to help the environment whether it be to try and reduce their carbon footprint or to save water. We will be checking up children when we visit you in school so don't forget you need to put your promises into action.

The naming of our friends in the classroom and around the site seems to be becoming a bit of a trend. This week some of the children named our resident pigeon in the classroom 'Johnny' - don't worry folks we don't have a live pigeon flying round the building, its a plastic one in one of our displays!!

The staff also made a visit into one our local Wigan primary schools to deliver a 'tailor' made safety programme looking at water/electricity and hazard awareness. Years 3-6 all took part in the sessions. Dressing up in protective clothing in the hazards session turned out to be one of the funnier moments which the children really enjoyed, albeit, it was serious stuff !!
