Climate change

A highly participative sessions in which children develop their understanding of “Climate Change?”, fossil fuels, renewable energy and problems that we may face in the future.

 

Minibeasts and habitats

Explore the world of minibeasts and habitats they live in.

Sessions include fun games and hands on exploration that develop understanding of food chains, keys, adaptations and more.

This programme is delivered in school using your school grounds if feasible, alternatively we can bring in some mini beasts for the children to look at.

Explore the world of water and where it comes from.

During the day; test your knowledge on the water cycle, calculate how much water you use, audit the water use in the building, find ways to save water and lots more...

A pre vist pack will be sent to the class teacher, and we ask that it be worked through with the class to enhance their enjoyment and participation during the session.

Streamwatch

Discover the secrets of freshwater life, study pollution indicators and investigate the impact we have on our rivers. Pupils will become water detectives for the day and combine classroom learning with outdoor science investigations.

Environmental activity day

Mix and match environmental activities to meet your curriculum needs. Interactive water cycle session, larger than life lunchbox looking at the 3 R's (reduce, reuse, recycle), environmental art, make a rainforest come alive or predict the weather and film your own presentations.

Streamwatch

‘Streamwatch’ is a very popular programme that supports learners working towards CREST awards, the Environmental Land Based Diploma, Science modules and GCSE coursework.

Learners can monitor watercourses using chemical testing kits with a focus on pollution and the impact of the changing climate on freshwater biodiversity.
