We are experts in pupil focused water workshops and can support your work on the Water topic. All our workshops support your pupils, and guide your school in following many eco topics below.
We offer a free Water Awareness workshop, sponsored by United Utilities, ideally suited for Year 4 or Year 5 classes which Links to the curriculum perfectly and covers; the water cycle, safety, efficiency, developing countries, maths challenges and a mini water audit.
Our other workshops also provide valuable opportunities for pupils to find our more about their impact upon the environment and make changes in school and at home.
Biodiversity - Pupils can study, monitor and record minibeasts. All activities link directly to the curriculum though our Minibeasts and Habitats workshop.
Biodiversity for upper Key Stage 2 - Older pupils can have a fun interactive science session studying pollution indicators of a local water course through our Streamwatch workshop.
Waste - Pupils will take part in fun activities that develop an understanding of the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) and composting. They will identify ways to make changes at home and in school when it comes to waste and materials they use, all part of the Waste Workshop.
Energy - Pupils develop their understanding of climate change, fossil fuels, renewable energy and the problems that we may face in the future. They can identify ways to reduce consumption of energy and alternatives that are available as part of the Climate Change workshop.
Further enhance your curriculum work on water
We run an additional afternoon water workshop for any mixed group, which could be an eco-committee. We will support and guide your children, to ensure all work and the next steps or ideas are developed by pupils.

•Working with your Eco-Committee or another group of pupils we can support the children in undertaking a full water audit of the school facilities as part of their environmental review.
•We will help the pupils identify water saving measures that can be put in place (no cost, low cost through to high cost) which can be added to your action plan.
•We will support the pupils to develop a water saving campaign in school. We will help with; identifying who and how to target different audiences in school; ideas for competitions; guide pupils in developing a short assembly or presentation. The children can then present to the whole school, or at a staff or governors meeting. Pupils will explain about and endeavour to persuade everyone to support the water saving campaign. The pupil’s campaign will involve the whole school and wider community.
•The pupils will find ways to monitor water usage and savings and record this for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Some schools have saved thousands of litres and hundreds of pounds from simple water saving measures.
•The workshops support your school in following your Eco-mission statement, which highlights your school’s commitment to improving your environmental performance.
Through all our work we are recognised as a provider of high-quality education for sustainability and our aims, objectives and ethos all align with those of the Eco-Schools programme with a shared commitment to the development of education for sustainability.
